Bona Chikore nee Mugabe has a bun in the oven!

Speculation was rife on social media recently that former President Mugabe’s only daughter could be expecting her second child with beau Simbarashe Chikore.

A good number of social media users congratulated Bona (named after President Mugabe’s mother) following a family picture marking the revolutionary’s 94th birthday at their private home in Borrowdale also popularly known as the Blue Roof.

Bona was dressed in a plunging white gown covering the baby bump heightening speculation that she was indeed in second trimester stage of her pregnancy.

The fashion conscious Bona never loses a bit such that even during pregnancy she is as hot as ever.

During her public appearance before President Mugabe’s ouster, Bona would look royal while her two sibling Robert Jr and Chatunga also turned on their style.

A proud mother of one — Simbanashe, Bona is often seen as a down-to-earth lady or your girl next door type of character.

One Facebook user Silvanos Bhanditi Mudzvova commented: “Sando Kuna Simba Chikore ari kurovera bhora mberi. (Thumbs up to Simba Chikore he is playing ball).
“GORE MWANA GORE MWANA. Bona apfeka TENETI futi munhu akasunguka 2 months ago. (Bona is now wearing a maternity dress).
“GRACE chimbomira kuchema umboticha mwana birth control. (Grace should stop crying and teach Bona about planning)”

Enisia Mashusha also responded: “Is this a current pic Silvanos?”

Silvanos Bhanditi Mudzvova replied: “Fact is that’s a 21st February 2018 picture”.

Nobert Manezho also wrote: “Kuita rekupaza kkkkkkk”.

This was the first Mugabe’s birthday celebration without state machinery at his disposal.

But when things were good‚ Mugabe enjoyed the attention from Zanu PF. One classic example was on the eve of his 90th birthday. His former deputy‚ Joice Mujuru‚ claimed Mugabe saw a vision that he would be Zimbabwe’s leader when he was 11 years old.

Celebrating Mugabe’s birthday dates back to 1986 under the banner 21st February Movement.

The idea was borrowed from North Korea’s own version known as “The Day of the Sun” which was celebrated by current leader Kim Jong-un’s father and grandfather and now him.

In the years going forward Mugabe found himself sharing cake with younger people and new introductions into his inner circle such as his son-in-law‚ Simba Chikore‚ and his now two-year-old grandson‚ Simbanashe.
